Burton Salvation Army & Flintshire Foodbank
TMUK, Our annual Salvation Army Foodbank appeal is always well supported by our Members who generously donate food, toys and money and 2020 was no exception.
Donations are handed over when the Brass Band bring some festive cheer to Burnaston as Members gather around the Christmas Tree to sing carols, whilst tucking into mince pies and a hot drink!
Sadly, they were unable to visit us last year so, instead, we donned our Christmas hats and jumpers and visited them.
Members from our Corporate Planning & External Affairs team, along with Kev Reader, as Rudolph and Trustee for the Charitable Trust, gathered up all of the donations and made a special delivery.
In addition, an amazing £725 was donated by Members, so we shopped on their behalf.
Meanwhile, at Deeside, members and the Trust came together in a magnificent effort to collect the largest ever donation as part of its ‘Kindness at Christmas’ campaign in aid of the Flintshire Foodbank.
Hopefully, we made a small difference to support those who struggle to put food on their table at Christmas.
Well done everyone!
