Business in the Community
Business in the Community (BITC) are a business-led, issue-focused charity with more than 30 years' experience of mobilising business. They engage thousands of businesses through programmes driven by their core membership of over 800 organisations from small enterprises to global corporations.
BITC are one of The Prince’s Charities, a group of not-for-profit organisations of which HRH The Prince of Wales is President.
As the Prince's Responsible Business Network, Business in the Community aims to create positive social and economic impact through business engagement, employment, enterprise and culture.
BITC appoint Prince’s Ambassadors who are chosen for their leadership in transforming their own businesses and empowering other organisations to take action. In their two year role, they promote the responsible business agenda in their country or region, engaging the local business community around key social issues.
Business in the Community Awards
Business in the Community’s Awards for Excellence showcase the best of responsible business in action and are the UK’s most influential, independent, peer assessed corporate responsibility awards.
Awards are offered in the following categories- Impact on Society, Community, Environment, Market Place, Workplace and Leadership.
