Working with Charities

The Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust had yet another amazing year in 2024, raising a fantastic £443,000!  This much needed funding will support some of the wonderful charities and organisations undertaking vital work in communities local to our vehicle plant in Burnaston, Derbyshire, as well as our Engine Plant at Deeside in North Wales.

Funds are raised in a variety of ways, with the main source of income being generated from our Lean Approach Seminars. 

Employee involvement in the community is encouraged and, where appropriate, the Trust offer financial support through a number of channels. For example:

• Members who undertake a sponsored activity on behalf of a charity are able to request Member Match-Funding, where the Trust will match up to £1,000 of any sponsorship raised.
• Members who have an active role within a charity or community group are eligible to apply for funding of up to £5,000 - see the Member Grants page for more information.
• Members are encouraged to volunteer, in their own time, for worthy projects local to where they live. Funding of up to £2,000 is available to support this type of activity.
