Guiding Principles at Toyota
Since the company was founded in 1937, Toyota Motor Corporation and its subsidiaries have continuously strived to contribute to the sustainable development of society and the earth through the provision of high-quality and innovative products and services.
Through such continuous efforts, we have established our own management philosophy, values and methods that have been passed down from generation to generation throughout the company. This management philosophy has been summarised into what is known as the 'Guiding Principles at Toyota'. Updated in 1997, the Toyota Guiding Principles are a cornerstone of the company's corporate management philosophy and help it to steer a clear path toward achieving sustainable development in Europe.
