New trikes for Alfreton Park Community Special School
Alfreton Park Community Special School caters for pupils aged 2 to 19 who have severe, complex and profound learning difficulties.
Toyota Manufacturing UK were proud to organise the recent delivery of two very special tricycles. Valued at £680 each, they have been specially adapted for children with disabilities. The eye catching Muskateer model tricycles include rear steer handles, back rests with side support and self levelling pedals.
As well as providing a fun way to exercise, the new bikes will provide a great way to engage local children with special needs in activities that will boost their strength, confidence, and sense of freedom, while getting some fresh air too.
Cheryl Smart, Head Teacher said “the pupils are so grateful for the donation of the two beautiful tricycles from Toyota. They were so excited when they saw the new equipment and couldn’t wait to get on and have a go. The specialist tricycles will allow pupils access to physical activity who would not otherwise be able to enjoy the freedom of cycling. Thank you Toyota”.
